If your car has an automatic transmission, you may not need to change the fluid as often. Automatic transmissions use electronic sensors to control gear shifts and usually don’t require the same level of lubrication as manual transmissions.

However, if you notice a loss of power or poor gear shifting when you shift gears, it may be time to top up your manual transmission fluid. You can get the services of manual transmission fluid change from My Transmission Experts.

Here's what you need to know to change your manual transmission fluid:

1. Check the fluid level. It's important to check the fluid level before you start working on your car, because if it's low, you may have to add more fluid. The Transmission Service Manual (or manufacturer's instructions) will tell you how much fluid is required for your particular model car.

2. Remove the cover plate. On most cars, the cover plate is located just above or below the gear shift lever on the driver side. Use a screwdriver or other tool to pry it off of the gear shift housing. You may also need to remove screws that hold it in place.

3. Remove the transmission pan and filter. On most cars, these are equipped with 2-3 bolts that hold them in place (see image below). Once these bolts are removed, simply lift out both pan and filter assembly (see image below). If there are any debris or old fluid clogging up yourfilter, use a can of compressed air to clear it out before replacing the filter assembly.
